Dual Bottle Cages for DualSus + Dropper

Hi everyone

My previous bike was a hard tail so never had an issue fitting two bottle cages and a saddle pouch for my tools.

Now I am riding a full sus with a dropper. I am still looking to load 2 bottle cages and maybe get a top tube bag for when I do XC events. The camel back is sooo constricting and I really don't like riding with it.

What are the options? I've seen some seat mounted cages, but can't find one in stock? Something similar to this

Do the rest of you downhill junkies do when you decide to go for a long XC ride.

Awesome, no I didn't see that. Will go and have a look.

EDIT: Don't think it will do the trick. I have a ST Stumpy and the space in the triangle is too tight for this

Have same issue with my Tallboy, pretty hard to get two bottles on when have a dropper post and shock on top tube - any ideas from Stumpy or Tallboy owners?

What size bottles are those Wannabee? That might do the trick, is that also part of the "Holy Rail" range?

Not my bike, took it off the Holy Rail Thread. Looks like 500ml though.

It is part of the Holy Rail range

There is also a template on the Lyne Components "Holy Rail" website that you can print to see if it will work for your application.

All these after market brackets and ideas for carrying tools and bottles on your bike a simply gimiks in my view.

Holy Rail - in my opinion you will pick up problems down the road. You are mounting 2 bottles on a mount designed for 1. With the rough terrain riding and vibration....me thinks the mount holes are gonna fail over time, especially in a carbon frame.

Mounting a bottle or bottles on the seatpost, ......mmm most i see on the trails are covered in mud and who knows what else ....Bleh ! Same applies to the mount below the downtube "What were they thinking"

On a dropper post its almost impossible to mount a bottle unless you use a shorty 500ml bottle. On most droppers there is not enough place to mount the clamps wide enough apart so the holes don't line up with the cage holes. So I used a CO2 bracket and made a plan. Now I can carry a short tool bottle and 2 Co2 bombs on my dropper post. I'd probably be able to fit a 500ml water bottle as well.

But whats the point - i'm still looking for that elusive 2nd 750ml water bottle mount. The only other options is to mount out front of the handle bar....but that just doesn't look right. I've also seen bottles mounted on the sides of the lowers on the fork suspension ....also looks a bit stupid unless you touring across the country.

My solution - use a CamelPak and remove the 40 tons of brackets and k@k mounted on the bike.

I'm gonna remove the cage on my dropper and make a tube carrier in the same place. As the tube is something in my tool chest that i cannot seem to find a place for. Its that thing that always seems to be in the way and takes up too much space in the CamelPak
