Also did the facebook thing a while ago. These were my top ten.

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

Harvest - Neil Young

Cold Fact -Rodriques

Moontan - Golden Earring

Who's Next - The Who

Aqualung - Jethro Tull

Road to Hell - Chris Rea

Rumours - Fleetwood Mac

Pinups - David Bowie

Crime of the Century - Supertramp

Also in the running were

Suitcase Vol Winter - Piet Botha

Ma - Rare Earth

Fly Like an Eagle - Steve Miller Band

Tapestry - Carole King

Brendan Croker and the Five O'clock Shadows

LA Woman -The Doors

Led Zep 3. And Led Zep Early Years Compilation

Boston - Boston

Songs From a Room - Leonard Cohen.

Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper

Abbey Road and Beatles red and blue albums

Loud and Proud - Nazareth

Exile on Main Street - Rolling Stones

And a few others, but to my own surprise not one Deep Purple or Black Sabbath album. There are individual songs that would make my list.

I really like a good hard rock song , but looking at it, I seem to be less of a rocker than I thought.

For what it's worth , I do look at some of the artists posted by hubbers, some you keep , some you don't . I've come to realise that there are some real music buffs here, and that I have a lot to learn.

Only just heard of this:

https://www.nme.com/news/music/mark-hollis-talk-talk-reportedly-died-aged-64-2453863

I loved his work. A very underrated musician.

Their first album was a favourite of mine, especially for high school parties. Oddly called The Party's Over.

Still have that vinyl, which I purchased at Street Records in Braamfontein many years ago.

Yup.. Posted on the song thread and clearly talk talk were not as well known as I thought. He was an incredible front man

Lots and lots of rockers - not so many electronica fans, so far. I have a few I consider essential listening (besides a couple mentioned):

Faithless - Reverence

Juno Reactor - Inside The Reactor

Leftfield - Leftism

Sasha & John Digweed - Northern Exposure

Over the weekend I was in the Virgin megastore in Dubai mall. Man. I almost spent my bike money on records. There were to many to mention but the Mastadon - Motherload picture disk was my highlight. Love that album but could not buy it. Bought the new Korn - Serenity of suffering because that is pretty damn good also.

Violent Femmes - Add it Up

Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory

The Verve - Urban Hymns

U2 - Duals

Bush - Science of Things

Travis - The Man Who

That Mastadon is a great album, but pic discs sound horrendous.
