After a few people commented that I should use a GPS and not my phone to record.

I am looking into other options.

Surely some of the importers are following these threads ....

Maybe a loan unit .... hint-hint ....  If these units can work for the miles FRAIL puts on a bike then surely it is good enough for us other riders ....

Good luck...its not easy. Chose a different climb with a steeper gradient, even if that means getting lower gearing. I succeeded.on my second attempt and so can you

Garmins reset when put on charge but you can get an on-the-fly charging cable cable and use a powerbank.

Not sure if this is 100% correct. I think the OTF cable only applies to older or some Garmin units. I have an Edge 810 and it can recharge using a mini-usb from a power bank while riding/racing without resetting. Have done it on several occasions for races longer than 14 hours (which is the max I can get on the 810).

Hello Friends

I am looking for people to assist me with Back up on my SECOND EVEREST attempt.

To be held in Cape Town on the 1st June 2019.

Please contact me if you are able to help.

Thank You

David

quick question...  didn't everesting.cc require that you use a gps with a barometer?  don't want you to go through all this again and not get it recognised.

Hello Billygoat

I am busy Testing a Watch As we Speak.

Just got a useless battery, needs recharging after 7Hour run time.

Hey Dave I highly rate the Bryton GPS units. They are only 1.5k to 2k and have 32 to 36 hour battery life.
