Allie Van Niekerk Posted April 7, 2019 Share https://www.strava.com/activities/2271124085 Did a 30km ride. Drivetrain was perfect, Small adjustments here and there. Must have put close to 1000 watts on it, no problem.

NotSoBigBen Posted April 8, 2019 Share Riding a FIXIE for the first time. What an experience!!!!How's the slowing down and braking to a stop going for you? In the end I put a front brake on mine ... Could not stop it when riding it out and about in the suburbs! Edited April 8, 2019 by NotSoBigBen Jacoo
Mudsimus Posted April 8, 2019 Share Dont try and do any skids/hard stops with vertical dropouts. eddy
CAAD4 Posted April 8, 2019 Share Those okes in the movies stop and skid due to the fact that they have horizontal drop outs. Try it and ask a mate to film you. eddy and Skylark

Allie Van Niekerk Posted April 8, 2019 Share Front break it is. For now ???????? DJR
Jacoo Posted April 8, 2019 Share Front break it is. For now ????????Definitely. I rode a fixie once, hated it. Commuting with it is terrifying, its an accident waiting to happen. Unless you got the skids down (which are way harder than they look), just run it with front brake. Single speed too, never coasting is kind of exhausting.
