You must have massive patience . I thought I was patient,but dang, a month ! But doing a home project I would want perfection,well as good as I could get it .

Keen to follow this .

Only painting in the garage been sanding outside.

Damn sanding is the absolute pits,the worse job in the world ????????.....

I wear glasses so my eyeballs are ok.My teeth and tongue are the worst.

Gave the frame a light sanding now and applied the decals.

 

Will leave it for decals to dry for a while before the clear coat.

 

Working with such thin transfers is pretty hair raising as they just want to fold over from static.

Looking great gummibear!!

 

FWIW, Adendorff have an electric paint sprayer for about 600 SA Ront, I have recently sprayed 2 frames with MS primer, base coat and clear coat. Very happy with results, but also noticed it takes a while to cure and harden properly..

Final coat done and now to leave for a few days before polishing.

 

For a garage job I’m real happ at how it turned out.

 

If you look closely there are a few small paint runs and other marks.

For a DIY job I think it turned out brilliantly, well done. I love that red as well, it certainly pops :thumbup:

Red and yellow are my fave colors [emoji85][emoji106]

Took the ideas from these bikes
