Are you running air volume reducers?

rebound can be re adjusted by the distributor. Sometimes the shock is set up for a rider in different weight category than the shock was tuned for

not that i know of.

Thanks, will try see if that adjustment is possible. Will really help. I get the feeling that the rebound is too fast hence the bouncing.

Maybe a skills lesson with Julian Louw aka Rusty Cat (here on the hub) might be a good place to start. He'll help look at specific things you think you need as well as general important pointers.  He'll also give your set up a good going over before you start the session and check your suspension, rebound, sag etc. Well worth the cash TBH.

Pretty sure the guys at Spez know what they're doing when it comes to speccing the right length shock for a frameset. What you're dealing with is either bad setup or bad technique. Possibly both.

On the setup side, pop in and we can help you out. On the technique side, go with all the recommendations above and call Julien. https://web.facebook.com/mtbskillsclinics, or PM me if you need a number.

yip, I am.

There's your problem. Stand up over tech features. No shock is not going to buck you off the bike if you are sitting over rolers, rocks, drop offs, etc etc. Pretty much anything tech - stand.

And this is not meant as a smartass comment - invest in a skills session, they are worth every cent.

Thanks Everyone, will invest in a skills session.

I used to stand up on the hardtail, not really sure why I stay seated now.

@droo - Thanks, will pop in for a setup.

Cos that would have been pretty roff!

Yeah standing up over rollers is the best technique. However even if seatd you should not be bucked off the saddle unless the rear shock rebound is too fast or your weight is shifting forward, thus not allowing the fork to recover  coupled with too slow a rebound on the fork. I see lots of too slow fork rebound settings.

Suspension set up for your weight on the bike is best. Take your riding kit and backpack along for the setup if you use one regularly
