After 650 Covid tests at the Tour de France, various reports (due to be confirmed shortly) say that all riders were negative, but four team staffers came back positive. And per RTL, Tour director Christian Prudhomme tested positive too. #TDF2020

This looks like the kind of route that'll get Booking.com opened up

Ile de Re is a fantastic place for a holiday and the small town of St Martin is particularly picturesque. There is a fort in St Martin which has the same star design as the Castle (fort) in Cape Town. I sure there will be a few aerial shots of the fort in today's aerial tv coverage and perhaps shot of a WW2 bunker or 2 on the beaches.

La Rochelle is beautiful and has a lot of history, if that's your thing. It was the Huguenot stronghold against Richelieu and the Royal soldiers. Many of the French protestants that settled in Franschhoek hailed from La Rochelle.

There is a school in Paarl called La Rochelle based on the above. Those with a surname like Du Toit, de Villiers, Labuschagne, Olivier and the like might feel a little nostalgic while watching today.

They should make Pruhomme Work-From-Home like all good leaders.

Put a screen on the lead car for him to wave the start flag at each stage via ZOOM.  :P

Its a suburb in Joburg South too. They too speak French deeeep into a Friday night.

France is one of those countries I'd love to take a drive around for a month. Wine, cheese, baguettes, an alp, a chateau... heaven.
