Hard not to laugh at the poor bloke. At the same time though it's hard to watch the leader in the KOM jersey struggle so much on the climbs especially the really big ones!!!!

Yep but like you noted he made a good go of it and took advantage of the fact that others weren't. That said it will be nice to see Rolland back in the Polka Dots. He always does that jersey proud.

I just checked up how much Barguil and Carapaz could make up on the GC board if it finished like this. They're both 32 mins back, 15th and 16th overall.

 

Amazingly, (assuming all else remains) they would not gain a single position even with 11 mins gain. Next on GC is Caruso in 14th and he's only 9 mins behind Primoz.
