NIBALI LEADS THE PELOTON DOWN THE DESCENT..he may even get a gap just because he is Nibali and it's a descent.

Cycling fans,

Spare a thought for Wackermann who's regained consciousness after being knocked out with the barriers blown over by the helicopter yesterday. His team reports “a concussion following a head injury, a fracture of the nasal bones, multiple contusions to the face and in the lumbosacral zone, a valid contusion to the lips and to the dental arch, lacerated wounds to the left eyebrow, on the chin and on the right knee, multiple bruises to arms and legs and a suspected lumbosacral fracture.”

Ganna - an absolute revelation since the World Champs. I did not notice him at all. What a ride on today's stage of 225 km and over 4 000 meters vert! That'll warm me up, hey. Ganna defined gravity by winning today's stage (his first road race victory at this level) and it'll make team Ineos-Grenadiers a much happier team after the disastrous loss of Gee.

Unfortunately, Louis Meintjies seem to be in trouble again today. After reaching a pinnacle a few years ago at the Tour de France, there must be many questions swirling in his mindset. Eish.

I am following the Shark of Messina very closely. He has finished out of the top 10 only once in his GC career. Is he a fading force? Hmmmm.
