"Ek al vergeet daar was n stukkie teerpad in die event. Ek was omtrent in n toestand toe ek daar kom maar ek moes maar aanhou trap want het so 20m gap gehad op Morne. Gelukkig het ek uitgehou tot die singletrack waar ek toe n lekker groot groep van so 10-15 ouens kon ophou op die hele Aap du hez klim" ~ Author Unknown

Classic, sounds like an experienced racer this. The old "go till you blow" tactic executed at its best.

Agree even if I have to say so myself. But I believe this morning chap is not the same rider as last year, let's see what he can dish out this time around.

Just a gentle reminder of

Climb#4 - GROENBERG (Buffalo)????‍♂️????

The Groenberg climb is the easiest of the Big Five but might pose more of a challenge considering it is the 4th biggest climb on the route. It takes riders to a maximum elevation of 432m above sea level and is 4.4km long.
Total ascent for the climb is 256m and riding consists of mainly single track.????

Oh wait... after this is the Golden Mile descend

I remember crashing on that one because of fatigue and the loose marble like gravel on the course. I couldn't see straight anymore and lost my front wheel. Luckily no one was there to witness so I will forgive you guys if you don't believe me, especially with my exceptionally high skill level, but trust me it happened.

Nope i dont believe you. To many lies in one paragraph. Let me break it down for you:

  • "crashing on that one because of fatigue" - Fatigue? I've seen you ride....you dont get tired.
  • " I couldn't see straight anymore" - That's why you wear glasses.
  • "lost my front wheel" - Where did you lose it? I've seen you try and wheelie....so you must have found your front wheel to be able to finish the race.
  • "my exceptionally high skill level" - Cant argue with this.

Anyway... see you at the race
