Does anyone know of a bicycle rack for a Peugeot 107, Citroen C1 of Toyota Aygo? Me and my girlfriend want to transport our bicycles and that is our car. We can't mount a tow bar and the strap mounts won't work due to the full glass boot door.

Thanks

Buy another car Pal

Sadly MOST of the smaller cars no longer accommodate for towbars.  Actually a number of bigger vehicles as well .... I was considering the Honda BRV and took it off the list as it cant take a towbar ....

Add to that the lovely curved back windows and boot-spoilers ... less and less cars can take a boot mounted rack .....

A roof rack may well be their best bet ..... a small engine may not like such a big drag though .....

I know your pain, I drive a VW Up which has the same issue.

A roof rack is the only option but that costs an arm and a leg as these small cars use narrower rails than the more common ones found on larger cars so you will not find cheaper used ones for sale that was fitted to say something like a Polo as they will be too wide. I speak under correction but i was placed under the impression that you can also not simply cut them narrower either.

That means new brackets + new rails from someone like Thule. You can thankfully however buy the actual racks used which saves some money. Just make sure you buy the right ones, if you want to transport carbon bikes you need the most expensive model (in Thule at least) which has load limiters in the clamps so they won't crack the frames.

The above all relates to the Thule aero profile rails as they are the quietest  and most fuel efficient, there are noisier options out there for less money though I'm sure.

Best to get hold of a company that does roof racks and go from there. I've interacted with these guys - just sent them a mail:

https://rackandcarry.co.za/

They were awesome in suggesting the best way forward and gave me some options. I ultimately went for a towbar so I did not use them though.

My mate only discovered this AFTER he bought one, salesman casually said he can take it to an approved towbar fitter.... AND his Thule roofracks don't fit either.

Lokos like Honda only designed this car to Uber.
