New MIPS helmet: Giro Fixture or Specialized Tactic III or ?

Hi Guys,

 

I had a fall this weekend that cracked my helmet. Thankfully it did its job, but it needs to be replaced.

After reading up on MIPS I am sold on the idea and want a helmet with MIPS.

 

The Giro Fixture and Specialized Tactic III both fall into my budget. 

Any recommendations on these 2 helmets?

Any other helmets at the same/cheaper price point with MIPS that you can recommend?

 

I mostly ride cross country with some technical sections thrown in.

I'd go with spez, just because they're clothing has always far surpassed my expectations and been worth their price through and through

Don't overlook Giant. They have 3 road and 2 MTB helmets with MIPS.

Couldn’t agree more. Choose the one that fits best. I’d go as far as saying don’t buy if you’ve not tried it on.

I have a Lazer with MIPS, courtesy of my lucky picks in week 3 of the Fantasy Tour... fits well, ventilates well and looks okay. I hope I never have to find out if MIPS is really worth it.
