Bike for a female XS/S(1.55m) Size - need advice

Need assistance. Helping a friend looking for a new bike.

 

She is about 1.55 tall. Budget around 10k.

 

Have looked at Scott Contessa so far but meh

@ 1.55 she's likely to need the smallest frame available...XXS (46-48)should be available in many of the familiar brands.

A woman specific model (that actually has a shorter reach and isn't just pink) could be handy too.

At 1.55 she'll assume she's also light.

I'd say a 650b so a Giant 2015 anthem 2nd hand

my wife is 1.52 on an XS frame 27.5 giant anthem.
 

for your budget I'd look at Silverback, they also import xs frame

 

Don't expect high spec bikes, unless you up your budget or go second hand

So, if she is really short and light, all jokes aside, have a look for a second hand Spaz Camber Grom. 

 

They are super low slung, have 110mm travel front and rear, can comfortably run 26" x 2.35 tires in the rear but most importantly, the suspension kinematics is designed around small, light people like kids.

 

It isn't just a small version of a big bike. 

 

This actually makes a huge difference as people less than 50kg struggle to get any sort of feel from their suspension.

 

It is a fantastic bike.
