You will definitely need to get a microspline freebody for your Bontrager hub.  Not sure if they exist though since I'm not familiar with the brand.

Anyone else know if one can get microspline for Bontrager?

Edit:  Look like you do get them and DR is correct, used by Trek:

Now just to source it locally and confirm that it fit on your specific hub.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up on an extended search on youtube and found this guy that explains it in a nice detail that I can understand.

Will try those Trek shops! Thanks guys.

Just a quick question, if I plan on changing the rims in the future to lets say the Lyne wheels, woudl I benefit from the Bontrager hub, or would I need to re-purchase a hub for those rims when I'm ready to get them?

Sorry, I cant help on this, since I'm not familiar with the Bontrager hubs I have no idea if they are good or bad.  I use and prefer DT Swiss.

I'm sure someone else can answer this for you.

Get the Lyne wheels and order them with the correct freehub. Problem solved. Great wheels too.

I really do want them. But they're the last on the list at the moment.

Would prefer the groupset first and then perhaps a dropper post.

You won't get a MS driver for that hub, you'll have to replace the hub.

As someone said earlier, there's a cheap and cheerful Shimano that will do the job, although I suspect you'll need new spokes as well, which will make it quite an expensive exercise for not a great rim.

Sunrace 12sp cassette is probably your most cost effective bet.
