Nissan NP 200 - Bike carrier

Yo, good evening.

 

Best way to transport a bicycle on a NP 200.

 

I got thule racks - one of the big boys that clips onto a towbar and a single unit also clips onto towbar.

 

But the NP 200 does not have a tow bar.

 

So, should I install a tow bar on the little bakkie?

 

 A clip on type deal?

 

A roof rack type deal?

 

Got a canopy on it as well.

Tailgate pad or towbar since you already have the racks.

 

Use what you have and a towbar will come in handy for other things as well.

Go for a towbar,it makes life alot easier

I'd get a tailgate pad if I were you. I use one on my bakkie for 4 bikes at least once a week. Sometimes 5 bikes. Takes seconds to load a bike.

I used a home made "t-bar" type of thing which fitted across the width of the bin.  Stood the bike upright in the canopy using quick release skewers from Holdfast.  Easy peasy. 

 

ask Arno, he saw my set up.  I no longer have the bakkie due to an incident with an overhanging tree.
