Flemish Lion Posted July 7, 2008 Share Surely Sauser was in 'the wrong' - I haven't seen any clips or pictures, just my slightly BIASED opinion  as a fellow countrymen won As Sauser said - how can one race official make such an important decision - he would like a panel of at least 5 judges! Mini-hijack...Did anyone read that the Russians (Tinkoff + poetin and Ibrahimovich) are throwing HUGE money at cycling - they signed Gert Steegmans (offered x3 his Quickstep contract), Redandt (Silence-Lotto team manager) and would like to get Pozatto and McEwen... Sean Badenhorst Posted July 8, 2008 Share Just watched the clip and reckon Sauser was robbed by the officials. Sorry, official. He was ahead and never moved off his line. In fact, where the barriers narrow, he even edged over (away from Paulissen) slightly. Paulissen made body contact first and Sauser simply leaned slightly into Paulissen (as you do when there's body contact on a bicycle) to counterbalance. Dramatic finish!
