superglue is strong in some directions and weak in others, like shearing. knowing the variable forces that can go through tyres at times (not my tyres mind you), who's willing to trust their life on a dot of glue?

Yoh, I'd hate for the MacGuyver repair to let go when the chips are being counted. It'll be a prime post for the stuff Ive learnt the hard way thread

I think you guys are misunderstanding. Its not a gaping big slice through the tyre. A nail went in there. AND I'll be putting a patch on the inside.

But even if I dont patch, the hole made by the nail is not big enough for an instant flat, add some sealant to the mix and itll probably be more of an irritation than a failure.

lots of small cuts. some are seeping sealant.

Plus I want to fix the puncture I got this morning.

B.T.W. 1 tiny tube of Loctite Power Flex at Leroy Merlin is R61. This stuff better work.

around the same price as a tube

When You want to Finish off a Tyre that Has a Hole that is too Big for the Sealant to Fix Just Put in a Tube and these.

It will Last 2 Years or More.

In one of the Tubeless discussion threads someone mentioned a specific superglue they use for small cuts etc. on their tyres.

My google skills cant seem to find this post.

Please help

i have had a tubeless tyre emptied by a patch of duwweltjies

then the same tyre refilled got a sidewall cut

i was gatvol of it that day, my one riding buddy was super excited to pull out his "QBond" as he had read it could seal the cuts.

it worked, tyre is still good.

I sealed a cut caused by a piece of glass on a road tire (and inner tube) with Tufo carbon sealant. It hold 8 bar without going flat. Bad news is that I was unable to separate the inner tube from the tire after I finished the ride. Lol.
