Hi all

I will be on holiday in Keurbooms early December. Any recommendations of routes in the area?

Will be taking a gravel bike.

R340 past Wittedrif towards Angie's G-Spot for beer...there is coffee shop close by as well.

Mostly gravel, but some tar at the start.  There will be climbing though.

We used to have a holiday house that part of the world.

If you are looking for a longish ride, best option would be to follow the R340 (Prince Alfred Pass Rd) for an out and back along the banks of the Bitou.  Would involve a short stint on the N2 but at least there are decent yellow line areas to cycle in.

Depending on where in Keurbooms you are staying, a shorter option is to ride the Keurbooms beach rd (P0394) to the village. Then head up to the Cell Tower (Game Str into Pinehaven Rd). Back down the N2 for a very short stint and left onto the old rd that brings you back down to the bottom.

PS: Thyme and Again farmstall makes some awesome homemade pies and decent coffee.

PSPS: Enricos for sundowners and prawns.

mto trails are mostly gravelable

old pass through alkantmooi is a lekker alternative to the n2

I haven't done bloukrans for a while but that is quite rad

maybe get hold of the guys at the Bikeshop, could even be some groups going

There is plenty to go at on a Gravel Bike in that area! WA me on 0838918897 and I can share some GPX files and Garmin Courses with you. I will be there from 18th Dec for 3 weeks - plenty okes and groups to join but I have never had an issue solo and ridden very remote places, just be sure you have spares and capable of fixing mechanicals - some places have very poor cell signal (learnt the hard way)
