I've also done a few deals on the hub and all have been done so without hassle.

I think the best weapon against fraudsters etc is to speakout as soon as anything seems dodgy.

As has been seen by previous problems, people remember names and once you have a bad reputation here youre' toast!

Bought a frame from MTBKid (I think?) unseen, no issues. Paid upfront, sent proof of payment through, got it the next day. From PE nogal!

Also bought from Klapperkop, no issues.

Establishing my credentials as a buyer, right here.

I have done 3 eals on the hub 2 good & 1 bad but i did not lose money or goods so i won't get into the details and start a slinging match with the hubber involved.

I live by the rule "Cash is King" in god i trust every one else must pay cash!! before delivery. End of story.

But as a suggestion. Admin should design a section on the individual profile page where a seller can rate the buyer or a buyer can rate the seller, with the opportuntiy to leave a comment "goof or bad" then when someone wants to buy or sell something to a hubber they can always check out his rating and decide from there how they want to conclude the deal. this same system is used on ebay and seems to work.

I bought my bike off the hub... and had it delivered from CT... There was no problem. Lets be honest, it doesn't matter where you are, the hub, ebay, and sometimes even meeting in person can still lead to a deal going pear shaped. There are dodgy people online, and out in the real world. Sometimes there are other circumstances which could skew the views on what is actually happening. But ultimately it comes down to trust.

I will continue to buy on the hub, and hopefully sell something one day.. LOL. There are plenty of good deals that happen on the hub on a daily basis, and they out number the bad by a big margin...
