Which bike is better?

TCR is carbon with Tiagra 4600 / 9.5kg

Speedster has 105 5700 / 11.3kg

I'm leaning towards the TCR...

thanks...i bought the TCR and I'm selling the Speedster now so just wanted to make sure im moving in the right direction 😄

I' have a garage full of GAINTS, including 3x TCR's 2004, 2012 and 2020.  Never regretted the TCR's for a second!!

I would probably upgrade again next year so didn’t think it would be worth it?

is it expensive to do a swap?

If you have the right tools and know your way around a bike, costs nothing.

A good learning experience and fun at the same time. (if no internal cable routing - that is a bitch to deal with LOL)

I learned a nice trick with my TCR internal cabling, A magnet to catch the cable works a charm.

Mines got no internal cabling. Hmm maybe I should look into it.

but the speedster has internal cabling so it’s definitely going to be a complicated job.

I think you are making a mistake...many reasons to own both

I would also go for the Giant with the 105.

That said neither of those group sets are supported any longer so if you are sure you will upgrade soon you should leave as is.  You will sell the Scott easier with the 105 than the Tiagra.
