Bottle Cage Height Adapter

Barry

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a Titan Cypher Elite for my wife in a size small.

I am struggling to find a side entry bottle cage that works nicely on a small frame.

I am looking for an adapter so I can lower the cage and this will alow for a 750ml bottle.

If anybody knows where to find or have a solution to this let me know.

Wolftooth adapter plate - Evobikes.

Yes, it moves it further down into the triangle .... BUT, it also lifts it away from the frame by a few mm, which actually adds up in these tights spaces.

I am currently using one of these Wolftooth adapter plates on one of my bikes.

Yea tight space. The Lyne Holy Rail also very tight fit in a small frame

I have the exact one you're looking for and this, not sure which would be better for you?

I need to come down 10 or 15mm . I have elongated the holes in this cage to the max to drop it but still find the wife is struggling putting the bottle back in. 500ml is fine but she wants 750ml

I tried the Lyne Holy rail ....

Takes up a LOT of space in a small frame.

The Wolftooth adapter was the most compact I could find

For 10mm you may want to walk the shelves at the bike shops.

Some bottle cages have slotted brackets ... the odd one can be slotted furter.

TIP ... The bottle will touch the shock ... bit of clear protection or even a sticker goes a long way 👍

Have a look at the Syncros Tailor bottle cage. Scott dealers have them. They can be setup for left or right hand use and are angled towards the applicable side. See pic below:

I have elongated the bolt holes on this cage to the max leaving about .5mm till it breaks through. I got a handful of Cages on consignment from my LBS to try and this with a modification gave the best results.

Put a washer or two between the frame and bottle cage on the lower bolt ONLY.
This pushes the bottom of the bottle up, and the tip of the bottle down away from the shock. Coupled with a side entry cage and 750s won’t be an issue.
