Is there anyone else that also have so many problems with the Wahoo TICKRx HR monitor? It always show my hr too low as if the battery is flat but I have used so many new batteries and still does it..

Have you tried to wet the belt where it is in contact with your skin and try to turn the battery around for 10 seconds, then put it in the correct way.

Maybe you really fit and your HR is lower than you expect ?
Are you able to test with a different HR monitor ?

I'm glad this thread has been created. I'm done with Garmin's crap quality straps that last 3 months before the glue does not glue anymore. I thought the next option is a Wahoo. Seems not.

What is the other alternative?

I got a Temu HR strap for the Garmin, cost around R100 and has lasted twice as long as the Garmin strap.

I've invested in Polar devices that I've been totally happy with. I still use the old V800 watch and it works perfectly. Also have the M460 on bike mount.

The H10 is considered the industry standard but problems I've experienced have been minor like low battery, faulty strap (they do eventually crack on the inside), needing to update on cell app and having to change the option on the app to get the H1O to allow two units to read your heart rate simultaneously (eg: when using the rowing machine or smart bike trainer).

I did pick up a OH1 unit second hand (on bike hub) and adapted it's strap to hold that unit to the pulse in my wrist and now don't have two units not agreeing to share the H10's output.

Although the OH1 unit is slightly slower to react to a change in heart rate they are still very close to each other.

I saw a replacement Polar strap at Sportsman's Warehouse (Pavilion - Durban) they other day for R400.

Good luck with your choices...

I've been using a Forza strap from Takealot for quite a while now and have not had issues. Much cheaper than the genuine Garmin strap

How old is the strap? You don't mention that in your post.
Might be time for a new one, which is much cheaper than buying a new HRM.

There are many reported issues with the Tickr, I went through two (warranty replacement both times) before giving up and getting a different brand.

+1

Also went through 2. Warranty replacement process and support was great, but not really trusting them enough to spend $$$ on them next time

My Polar (H10) strap was replaced after 18 months. A new strap for less than R500 (the soft one, not the original) and everything works like it should.

These things (straps) don't last forever, so consider a new strap.
