Hi all, are there recommendations for any shops or mechanics that are specialists in tri bikes in Jhb preferably near Greenside/Parkview.

Excuse my ignorance, but what makes a Tri Bike different that it needs a specialist mechanic?  Except for geometry, different saddles and tri-bars and shifters, the mechanics of the bicycle remain the same as a normal road bike?  Am I missing something?

A TT Bike is a very finicky bike with all the integrations, fairings and getting the cabling 100s

Try Ridgeway Cycles, speak to Andre he use to do alot of Ironman bikes when he use to live in Port Elizabeth for IM SA. Tell him Jamie from PE sent you.

My vote - get to know grant at Greenside bikes (gravity garage these days). Despite the branding. Also he is local to you.

He is a very careful and engaged mechanic - frequently does wheel builds for me for unusual applications. You don't need a tri specialist as much as you need a mechanic who will listen to your wants and needs.

Are you referring to G3 cycles on Gleneagles road? Or where is this shop?
