Quick Question, while riding on our amazingn roads (sarcasm) I scratched my tubeless tyre’s sidewall, sealant sealed the hole instantly.

Got home took the tyre off, noticed on the inside the actual puncture was a tiny pin prick, but the outside it is quite scrapped up. See picture for reference.

I patched the inside with a patch for good measure, but is it safe to ride, do I bin the tyre or carry on?

That still looks trainable… but would swop it out if you heading for an event.

Thanks man, yeah that's kind of where I am at now. let's also not forget how expensive tyres have gotten nowadays

I think for added safely, glue a patch (remember those?!) on the inside of the tyre at the area of concern.

When cleaning my bike after the CT Cycle Tour, I noticed a nasty cut on my rear wheel (tubeless) with less than 1,000km on it. 😢 No loss of air pressure, but I decided not to take any risks and bought a replacement.

I haven't had a chance to fit it yet, so I'm keen to see if it actually went straight through and sealed, but I doubt it as there is zero visual evidence of any sealant.

But yeah, so expensive to replace bike tyres. 🙈

Front or rear tyre .... if on the front the chances of a blowout / quick pressure loss = easier chance of loosing control vs a rear tyre.
