Sworks pathfinder 42. More compliant tyre than the pro. I also run lower pressure than you I think. I also have the mirror saddle which is softer.

I also ran the sworks 42 at ceder, but too hard as I wanted  good control on the tar descent, but then with the heat they went even harder and it was unbearable on the corrugation close to the finish

I see the new Spez pathfinders TLR tires have been launched. New sizes, available in 40mm and 45mm...

I got a pair of 45mm delivered this morning. 😀 Can't wait to fit them and try them out!

My finger is on the process payment button... I cannot find any real world reviews on them online yet though. I want to fit them before Paris Roubaix  I did a section of cobbles with my 40mm g ones and soon realised I want/need more volume between the cobbles and my bike :)

If you're interested... 😀

I fitted the 45mm Pathfinder TLR tyres to a Terra CL wheelset (25mm internal width). They look pretty chunky! But still plenty of clearance on my Crux (54cm UDH). Going to take them for a spin tomorrow. 👌20250324_174506.jpg.9957a7532fe85279290c0341a44610ae.jpg

I’m going to take this thread back to basics…. Avalanche is launching a carbon gravel bike called the Roam, will be super competitive in pricing. Might be an option within reach than the strawberry blonde. Just saying…😃

it looks really interesting and pretty good looking too...I am just not sure about the components and groupset since they are all Chinese brands which have recently hit the market...looking forward to some reviews

i am currently on the look out for gravel/allroad bikes for a couple of friends and its a sad state of affairs in SA. We are being absolutely ripped, we have no options unless you're spending 70k+. There is nothing below 20 other than the Avalanche Dust (a lovely bike), or that green monster titan. the used market is dire.

The fact that the Roam is "super competitive in pricing" is a damning indictment.

PS: a few of us discussed the Roam in the general thread:
