Hey im currently looking into buying a carbon wheelset for my bike, and I've seen Kore Carbon Road Bike Wheels advertised on Bike Hub, and want to know if anyone has any experience with these carbon wheels? They look like they are from china and I'm not sure how reliable they are. Please, can someone help me out?

The asking price seems a bit steep at 8k for Temu wheels. They are only 3,5k on Temu.

Those are the 45mm version. The ones im looking at are 60mm. But im a bit unsure on spending that amount of money on wheels from china only to have them fail. Would you recomend chinese wheelsets or just stick to more well known wheelsets?

Maybe a little research on the web. This is a link to the wheels on Temu.

I have a set of Kore 50mm, done about 500km on them no issues so far, also bought from Temu.  Hub a little loud for my liking, but otherwise no issues.  After the first ride, I did check the hub, because of the noise in case not much grease in the ratchet.  There was, but I added more, still loud.  Claimed weight advertised was 1250g, when I weighed them, they were 1236g including rim tape.  I have ridden Chinese wheels for the last 10yrs or so, direct from suppliers and from Aliexpress, never had an issue with the wheels or hubs.  So for the price and weight, was happy to try a set advertised on Temu.  So far, solid wheels and all good.

Import duties are not included. Shipping is included. There is always a customs fee with Temu orders when it lands in SA.

Technically correct but no longer actually correct. @BuffsVintageBikes is spot on.

Temu are now estimating duties & VAT and including them in the final price you pay. My last two ordered worked that way.

Yup confused me the first time when I got an impending delivery notification without being first asked to pay duties!

Been hammering these wheels for a few 1000km on my gravel bike. 1200g with tape a valves. Was a little concerned about the carbon spokes and rock hits, but no issues so far. Machined a spacer to take a microspline freehub from a mtb Kore set - pictured with Shimano 10-51 cassette here and Continental Race King 2.2s. Fantastic wheels.

Lekker... Something Dylan Johnson will be proud of.
