Turtlek it defiantly ain't that... They make the noises pretty much everywhere that the crank is turning

When I've ridden behind him it sounds like the free wheel taking up play as if the wheels spins quicker then he is turning the pedals, although that not really possible on an uphill (if that makes any sense at all)

OK, don't know if they work the same, but had this on the Fulcrums as well.  Might be the little round spring thingy on the freehub body's pals (the things that stand out and go KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR when you freewheel) isn't quite in line.  Usually happens when the take off the freehub body to service the wheel.

Ok' date=' here is my problem, my mavic back wheel, is making a click-click noise when i pedal, by the cassette body.

Its been to 11 different mechanics so far, problem not fixed. they say it doesn't cause problems. thats ok, but its just bloody annoying.

Does ANYONE have the answer to solve this. please help me out.Cry

Is the noise per wheel revolution or per pedal revolution?

You say the spokes should be fine because they've just been replaced. I'm therefore not so sure that they're fine. Are these aluminium or steel spokes?

Rusty rim eylets and alu-on-alu spokes also click. In both cases you can make the click go away temporarily by oiling the nipple areas but as you wash the oil off, the noise comes back.

OK,try this, firstly put a blob of prestic or chewing gum, strawberry works best,on the valve,to take valve rattle out the picture.Secondly, leave the wheel out in the sun for a while to warm up the spokes so they expand or lengthen a little...... now squeeze some grease into and around the spoke heads in the hub..... take it for a hard ride,if the noise is gone, its the spoke tension that is wrong causing the heads not to seat snuggly and move under torque. My zipps do the same on hot days. Also lightly grease the free wheel body where the cassette slides on,the cogs may also be moving slightly on the splines and clicking as they take up slack and seat!

ok I had that problem on my BB not to long ago.... In the end it turned out to be the spacers on the BB that was cracked....

And the "screw" that held the BB in place..... maybe check that the Bolt that holds the Cluster in place.... it might have an hairline crack that has not been picked up.....

I have ridden with no.one.knows and heard the noise. I am convinced it is something to do with the freewheel mechanism.

I think ewep might be on the right track it is that kind of noise.
