don't know the area - is the "light" north-westerly a tailwind (coming back) or a headwind (coming back) or a sidewind (going there & back)?

That wind is normally a tail wind going out and full on head winf coming back.

Will be trying to hang on in the B bunch.

Last year the bunch I was riding in didn't want to work on the way back.

Turned in 1:01 and finished in 2:42.
