There was a lot of stuff on the crit last night, showing different age groups with Shaun Nick Bester winning the juniors and ML winning the cash race. They showed the women's race as well, elites, with NH spinning his back wheel and losing to 4th spot in the sprint. There was a tech insert on compact cranks and chain rings, an interview with Anriette Schoeman who was looking absolutely lovely and glowing, something for the 94.7 kids races, etc.

So' date=' whom of you watched Supercycling last night. We asked them to advertise something for us and I want to know if they did. (don't have DSTV)

Supercycling said they would like to help raise awarness of cycling and races in SA, so we put them to the testBig%20smile. We asked them to do a quick shout out of the Crit at the Dome on Tuesadays. They said they would do shout outs if it was warranted and if they could.  A quick advert is easy to put together and this is to show good faith that they would like to show us more of what we want. To change the content now is not easy, but it will with time. IT ALL STARTS SOMEWHERE. [/quote']

I cought the last 5 minutes of it and they did mention the crit at the dome and what great work Alex is doing. Also asked people to hurry up to get home otherwise they will miss their favourite cycling show.

Only lady to make the split at Dome2Dome in the SuperSeries.  Second best lady from S.A. at Worlds - both of them very much tough courses!

She is an awesome person, on and off the road. You have to see her with kids, always has time for everyone..........think Speedie needs to say sorry............if he can keep up with her for long enough. Angry

Speedi, Andriette can be compared to a mature wine lately, recently she has found the edge to racing against anyone anywhere and doing very well. What was noticed is her ability to socialize with her fellow cyclists and take time out to speak to fellow cyclists as well. I believe old "Ice Maiden tag has been crushed.

Ask some of the Vets on this forum who raced Super Series at the Dome, how hard she was pacing on the bunch. They could not hold her wheel. Anriette is a very good rider on and off the bike.

PS. She raced on the Saturday in PE, won the race. Jumped on a plane that night, flew to JHB and then road the Dome to Dome. Come people, if you dont know, shut the f*@k up.

hehehehe, you have a way with words Owen....yep she was in a hurry after the Makro and yet we saw her taking time to chat to a couple of her young fans and hug them before heading out to catch her flight for the D2D..........and when I saw her shopping on the next Tuesday still had time to tell me about how it had gone..........I think she is a great role model for any youngster or Oldster! I think she is fantastic.

Years ago she was at the Argus expo signing posters of herself.

My son who was 11 at the time and going to do his first Argus stood in line to meet her.

She spent time chatting to him and encouraging him for his ride and passed on some tips which made hime feel important.

She is a charming,gracious,attractive woman.

Apart from the fact that she is a damn fine cyclist and a credit to the sport.

Speedi have you won a race (classic with atleast 70 participants) the last year in the pro bunch? If you have you'll respect any cyclist who can do so, even getting a top 5 is good..
