Here's the problem.

Went today 11:30 to do some shopping.

Dischem - Boksburg- No stock of  Wasp . Sold out over 2 weeks ago

Sales person in that section has not seen a rep in ages.

Dischem - Benoni - No stock and have no idea when they will have.

All the other brands where full up (even one's I've never heard of).

I would imagine getting product out there would be a good start in growing.

I am not having a bash here, just tried to get the product and gave up after the second store. (PS one of the first to put my name up for the buy 1 get 1 free deal)

Maybe they are out of stock 'cos they ran so many specials Big%20smile

Dischem is selling out faster than we can put stock back on, there is always stock at head office and they can order off the system...

They dont need a rep to do that, when they are out of stock they can click on the computer and order more, but they dont...big problem for us, i fight withthem everyday..

Thanks for the info, keep it coming

Why would you prefer the sachets on a race ?  Have you tried using a flask before ?

Well I dont know about you but I must admit when you going in a really fast bunch it is easier for me to use only one hand with a sachet. Believe me it can get hectic in a fast bunch.

With how many hands do you want to open the flask and how can you you give your opinion if you do not know what you talking about ? And do you really think you are the only rider that has ever been in a fast bunch ?

Gaan speel liewer met jou klein t@ti. I can give my opinion even if I dont know sheet about it.. Opinions are readily available from me.. Now go play... You waisting time.. Oops you already finished..!!

I am very sorry, because you might not like what I say. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It seems you have quite a good product ? but that is actually not that important.

Most comments on this Hub thread are of little use or function to you

Do you now who your customers, consumers, end users really are ? and WHY?

Your focus on higher sales as a solution to your assumed unsatisfactory business environment is misplaced ? sale are not your real problem

A lot of the ?advertisement and marketing? you do is totally unplanned are not-thought through ? that is important, it points to the real problem

It seems as if your main business problem is that you just do not have a proper marketing plan i.e. game plan. What is the market, where are you now, where do you want to be, and how are you going to get there! This is it! A proper (sh*t-hot) marketing plan/game plan that is all-over-arching and over a long time period  = it molds your business plan, it dictates all your spending, it will make your branding obviously easy and with razor-sharp focus, and all your advertisements/sponsorship are just a sub-activity to support all the above. Production and sales will than be a well planned activity with minimal surprises or variances.

I hope I did not offend you.

PS ? I will try your product ? but that is also not very important.

Agree Peter M

I run a small gym and recently started selling sups etc.

Untill the goods were packed onto a product specific shelf nothing really moved. Can't get stock fast enough recently!

Package your product on its own(near the pos) shelf.

You will have noticed how many hubbers are always on about their LBS's etc.

I wouldn't go the big give away route with your product, rather put the money into good product specific stands that package your product for the market and target the stand and product package to bike shops, running shops etc.

You're pushing your product to the big stores in the false belief that you will grow your market share quicker that way.Nah,get your distribution sorted, your reps sorted and target the smaller shops with a specific package, including boxes of 3's,5's 10's etc.

Smaller packs of mamba juice will also go down a treat on cafe counters,in small counter freindly boxes to wake up students, drivers and married men with girl freinds.

Good luck

I live up in Limpopo and haven't seen your product up here!!!

I agree with most of what PeterM says, and didn't say it earlier since I think its obvious. You do have marketing experts to do your marketing for you, don't you? There's no substitute for a well researched and thought out marketing plan. Have a proper brand strategy and it makes the marketing specifics easier.

3 Comments, 1 positive, 2 not so good:

1) I tried the Green Whasp (100mg Caffeine) on Sunday at the OFM and it works. Big%20smile

2) When you tear off the tab of the sachet it is still not open, you have to use your teeth to further tear open the packet. This doesn't work well in a race.

3) When I was in Dischem Northgate yesterday most of the sachets in the box had been leaking, we opened 2 further boxes and all were the same.

So yes the product works but I think you need to look at the packaging system (sachets) and fine tune it a bit.

Tried the green whasp Sunday @ P&P OFM and like IanJ said it works ,but it sure tastes k@k :-(

I think your product is reasonably priced and I will use it again.

Did not have any problems in opening the packet while racing ,but that could be due to the slow speed I was doingTongue
