Maybe the bike tried to get away from the booties? LOL

 

Looking at "Downhill" on the jacket of the guy on the left, looking at the broken bike... wondering...

 

But seriously, a lot of people are chasing lighter bikes, but are these 6kg and less plastic wonders really needed? Are the dangers of rigid plastic not just too great for somebody who needs a bike to last a few years?

Saw this pic on Roadbikereview.com. He claims he had to take evasive action in a race and swerved onto the verge where his frame mysteriously broke in two. He is now very upset that Pinarello won't explain why his frame broke and replace it.
