They're fairly well priced. I got a crossmark for next to nothing not so long ago. Weight is something I used to worry about when my own body weight was 5kg less.

I ride Crossmark only, changed from OEM to them. They have given me no issues and handle the dry terrain I mainly ride on very well. Rolling resistance is good. My last set gave me 4000kms before changing to a new set for Sabie.

Maybe one day I will experiment with something lighter, but for now Crossmarks are well priced, handle well.

NOTE: Do not use in muddy conditions

Crossmark is great - works wonders on flat karroo roads (with the smoother traction), but words fairly well in wet areas aswell.

Mountain king is made for wet and muddy areas with loose stuff ect.

Xmarks a great - price and all.

they (almost) never puncture or cut.

the rubber is thick and gooey and even large impediments like thick nails or large pieces of wood which normally kills other ust tyres, seem to close to a small hole, which the stans/joes then seals.

never had to use a plug on them when i had them. Something i cannot say about the spez or other types of UST tyres i have had on my bike. normally have to use a plug to close the large holes.

Everybody is full of praise for Crossmarks but they all seem to have forgotten how it throws up gravel and fills your back pockets with sand. I hate riding with those tyres or behind someone who has them fitted.

Yet....I have them on my bike now. Can't remember why. Probably 'cause I found a reasonable pair in a dumpster behind a bicycle shop somewhere.

I had a Kenda Karma front and back, which is awesome, but at the rear they just don't last.... Cry

Then got the Crossmarx for the back, which is great!  VERY VERY VERY tough, never once needed to plug, now on my second one....

Still on my first Karma on the front.... 3000kms later....

And no, not excessive braking! (I'm just a bit heavy) Big%20smile

nothing at all. They have this nasty habit of blistering and bursting at inappropriate times. On more than one of my sets, and a number of friends sets as well. Stay away. Rather use mountain kings or race kings. They are just about indestructible
