I don't think we should be gleefully awaiting these guys' downfall. Remember both have also done a great deal for cycling.

Oh ??? indeed - but so has Tigerbrands for brown bread etc & they fixed prices ?? Fined R90 MILLION ... who are these that they should be excluded or treated with velvet gloves ?? It's still a crime !!!

Not saying I'm awaiting their downfall - but hell I'm also charged for everything concerning my cycling thank U very much !!!! Hell I dispise greedy people !!

"DTBig%20smile"

They must be taken down. This sort of behavior is criminal' date=' and they must be treated as suck. They are actually killing our beloved sport. I hope they get fined to the max. @ssholes. I will never ever buy anything from their stores again and I hope nobody else does either. Greedy filth like this need to be prosecuted, and I want my money back.

BTS - do you still buy bread?

Hells bells I dont feel like pulling my Cyclelab Club kit for the Argus after all this nonsense. I certainly wont drop any more cash with them until this matter is resolved. I think at least McLean should issue an explanation to club members.

Just wondering' date=' they say others were present. Now does just being present mean that they 'colluded' (is there such a verb before the hub linguisty get me ...) or must something be proved i.e. who did or did not agree etc.?[/quote ']

"colluded" is good.!

This may just be me but how is doing something criminal and then getting caught someone's "misfortune" and "we have all made mistakes"?

This is what is wrong with SA, we like to complain about everyone else breaking the law... because when we do it it's not that serious?

same story with doping. when its an overseas pro its "lock him up and throw away the key", "ban him from ever riding again".

But let it be an SA rider, and everyone is "oh well, it doesnt really matter"

Meanwhile, back at the Hub Court of Instant (in)Justice

Being investigated is not the same as being guilty, so unfortunatley, you can't execute these guys yet; yes I know you want to, but you're just gonna have to be patient.

They may not be innocent but they're certainly not guilty yet, will you stop sharpening that guillotine blade when I'm talking to you?

Also the death penalty for putting up prices in cycle shops is seen in some qtrs as a tad excessive - alright you can get the syringe out but no filling it with the lethal stuff, people today - no patience.

Really, it's good that the pricing thing is being looked at, but it's NO BIG DEAL* (imo). Every industry does this at one level or another from time to time - it is inevitable.

It's not inevitable to minute ur meeting and let Holy Roller have a copy; & that's what they should be hung for.

jo lo, being found not-guilty by any commission, and especially a south african one, does not necessarily mean that one is in fact innocent...

Non-sense. They knew exactly what they were doing and there is no excuse. Someone that built a business like these two and became major role players in the market know exactly how business is run - legally and illigally.

Its not hard getting your hands on minutes, somehow and someway they come out - the reason it was put on paper was to ensure that everyone part of the cartel lives up to what was discussed and there are no "he said this"  or she said that" situations.

Its happened over and over again internationally - big or small companies everyone wants as much money as they can get....

They not trying to protect their business - they are trying to make more money and enrich themselves.

I do agree with your last paragraph.
