Please could you post more pics (especially of the top tube and how it splits) and then who made it for you?

I would also like to know who made it for you? Locally or imported?

Gorgeous bike! Understated, lean and mean...like a fighter jet.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey Treb that Flint looks great. I see it looks like you've found your magic gear without using a tensioner...how is that half link chain holding out though? I've done same on a Niner MCR and the tension was pretty good to start off with but looks like the chain wear is starting to take it's toll and I've lost a lot of tension and it's getting quite pap...will probably need to put a tensioner on at some stage.

What the other bike BTW?

Hey XTC,

sheesh, sorry for the late reply, I missed your post somehow. My Flint is the 2011 model which has an eccentric BB, so no magic gear needed :)

I've been very impressed with the chain, I've only had to tension it twice so far, and I'm no lightweight.

I've put on some new XT stoppers and 790mm bars since, I'll post some new pics over the weekend.

The other bike is a Santa Cruz Chameleon.

Cheers,

Treb

With all due respect, you need to swing that bike past Dangles shop so that he can take a series of great pics to post on this thread!
