not a course - but the blue book of bicycle repair has been handy a few times - usually only after a whole lot of different failed attempts without reading the instructions, though.

Do the course of Johan.

His prices are reasonable (taken into account his expenses) and he is willing to bargain on tools (you get reduce prices if you don?t need some tools).

For free you get a week-end of talking bikes

Simple, enter and train for Epic on a well used Raleigh.

You will know all you need at the end of the six months and too many Km's

p.s. The bike made it, with a frame exchange thanks to Probike after stage 2. Quick rebuild at 21h00, ready to race stage 3 next day!

Get a DVD such as Zen art of Bike maint or Bicycling and the maint book, the money saved you can then use to buy all the tool's you need.

I bought the tools and use the Parktool website for instructions, I dont think that you need a course, unless you are servicing shocks. With a tourque wrench, and some intuition you cant realy go far wrong. The most important thing is to remember the order that you take stuff off and the way around some bearings and things need to be installed
