AM is local and such an accusation can negatively affect him (business-wise etc etc). Not saying I'm an AM supporter, but false claims can be damaging. This guy is only doing good for cycling and I BELIEVE is clean in his cycling successes. If you dont have proofen facts about someone, shut up and keep it for yourself. Do you think Voetsek and Scooter post issues here that is not checked and confirmed as facts, and they are only reporters.... The sport is littered with the 'drug thing' so they will be looked at, all the pro will be gunned at, its how they responed that makes them stand out. Its thier job!!!!

If that is the case, I believe AM (or whoever paid the lawyer) has wasted their money. There really was no need to coerce TNT1 into apologising. What he wrote about AM was buried long ago among all the other crap he's written here (no offence, TNT; after all, you're a self-confessed post whore). Sane people on this forum know that AM won the ovarian gene-pool lottery at birth. He has no need to dope. To do so at this stage of his career would be utter stupidity, and the man's not a fool.

[/quote'] jules, i totally disagree. it is a matter of honour. the rumour has been out there and some people believe it. for it to repeated as fact had to be actioned on. andrew, if he got a lawyer to send a letter, was right to do so; as was tnt1 to do the honourable thing and recant. defamation and libel law are very clear on this. you make a very good point about andrew's genes. i have got to know the man over the last couple of months, and he is uber-competitive, but he is a fair man. i think this thread has done both tnt1 and andrew a favour. holy roller2009-05-13 09:34:36
