Dudes, after pulling the piddle for the last week or so about doing the chicken thing and not riding, it is with great sadness that I am officially withdrawing from this ride.Cry

I hurt my left shoulder last night. (No, don't ask, cause I don't even know.)

19 weeks since I last missed a Saturday morning ride.

I am hoping that during the day the pain will subside enough to do the ride tomorrow, but she's not looking good.

Now, I am off to sulk somewhere.

I love that everyone is competing for man/woman holding up the rest of the group? but you gotta trust me on this tazman' date=' I?ll be the slowcoach in this group? nice try though, nifty excuses Wink

On a more serious note, I am actually keen on joining the ride, if for no other reason, to test my upgraded bike.  The cold is scaring me, but I?m a tuff south chicky so I think I can handle it.

The distance is a concern to me because although I have been riding, I haven?t spent more than 2 and a half hours in the saddle since Sani2C. The last time I rode further than 50 kays was in Feb.

I?ll start with you guys and if I feel it necessary I?ll just cut my ride shorter.  Fortunately I know the area well enough to do so.

PS: I have it on good authority that you can add Joe Low to the list and possibly David#7

Nancy, you better be there....If I'm surviving 150kms there's no way I'm racing it....so don't stress, you go your pace and we will wait at the top of the hills.

This weather is scaring me as well, but don't let anyone else know that, I have to keep my tough reputation upLOL

Will be great to have Joe Low and David with usBig%20smile

Tomorrow is going to be good fun Big%20smile

WW, I'll be there......... I'm not scared of sub zero freezing cold Antarctic conditions.... no not me Ermm

ND, don't worry, judging by my conditioning after this morning's ride, I'll be joining you at the back of the pack !

Just a word of warning to those joining us to ride from Bryanston. Our route takes us down Cedar Road past Dainfern and through the dip before Timber hill. That dip is probably the coldest place I have ever experienced in Gauteng so bring lots of protection (especially for your face etc.) as you will pick up quite a speed down the hill.

Slave do you want your blouse from BigBen with the Hub Logo or without?

Unlike the mothers the world over, I am not heaving a sigh of relief.

Trubie suggested I take some Cataflam. I never thought of getting an anti inflamatory so maybe not a bad idea.

I'll take a trip to the chemist at lunch time.

Sad about MJ. He was def whacko but some of his music was excelent.

More sad to me was the passing of Farrah Fawcet. She was much better looking than Wacko.

Ian, I care not if it has hub logos or not. As long as it's frilly and very pink, it's all good.

Does this hub have any awards?

Another forum I belong to have all sorts of awards. You get ranked according to how many people vote for you and they have stuff like "most intersting personality", "thought provoker of the year", "most intersting forum name".

We should chat to admin and get a category for "pink blouser of the year". I should win that one.LOL

On the other hand, if I do ride with my bad shoulder, will it earn me any brownie points?Wink

Slave I can vouch for Cataflam, works well. Hope you can make it tomorrow but if you really can't don't stress although it certainly will earn you brownie points if you complete the WWRR whilst "injured".

I agree about Farrah Fawcet, really sad. Makes us feel older when all these icons of our era start passing away.
