Uninstall IE. It's horrible.

So here's my question: how do I uninstall IE on Vista?

There are compatibility issues with IE8, however MS has a workaround to resolve the issues. Click the paper icon next to the refresh button and it should work. The Red highlighted box in the pic.20090612_010122_Untitled.jpg

If you install firefox does it work seamlessly with the rest of the MS products and you still get updates for IE along with all the other MS automatic updates?

You cannot. Since Windows XP, the operating system shares some core modules with the Internet Explorer application. Actually it is so integrated that just corrupting your Internet Explorer, you can cause your operating system to become unstable.

This alone is worth using a non-Microsoft browser for your surfing. Got to love the genius of Microsoft.

If I had the money I would go with Mac. . . .

Agree, since I would rather spend R12K on the Morewood up for sale if I had the cash, I'm happy to stick to Linux.

Just converted a new local Internet Cafe to LINUX - they where so happy with the 2 trial PCs that they are switching all their PCs to LINUX and dual-booting their Gaming PCs too.
