Most boring TdF?

Anyone who says that this is a boring TDF has absolutely zero grasp of the art and finesse that is bike racing.

I think its quite exciting! And I base this on the fact that most of the non-cyclists I know are watching it and are saying its so exciting!

I said this on the Contidor thread as well.  Don't know if it is standard, or standard crazy Confused

I'm certainly the last person that knows anything about doping, but I

heard the two Armstrong fan commentators saying that he has been tested

more then 40 times out of racing since his comeback, and during the TDF

basicly everyday and sometimes twice a day.   The french is certainly

looking out for him LOL

This years tour has been an absolute "yawner.!"

Anyway, should we have expected more? I think so........, but unfortunately, it seems to me, gone are the days of the tour where individuals rode to race and win, todays GC contenders ride to manipulate the race and the final result, hense the yawn fest we have now.

Give me the Giro d Italia anyday.

I personally find it has been more exciting than the usal first week of the tour....

The worst was Lance and his train...now that was boring...

Give the guys time, they'll start coming out to play.

agreed...the giro has been the better race over the last coupla years. but i with those who are enjoying this tour! all three grand tours are exciting, and you don't even have to watch them live to get caught up in it. i don't have tv at home and follow some stages on the net. i actually get excited about going to work and reading all the wire service and other reports about the tour. unfortunately, as you said elsewhere, the reportage is focused on lance, who's one of the few household names of the tour. but there is also the cadel criticism, menchov's "failure", cav's breating of the other teams, etc, etc...

boring...hell no!

The Phil and Paul show long ago stopped concerning themselves with little incidentals like facts, ....................so Yah, could be funny, but to me its just irritating.!

It certainly has been a quiet tour so far: not a single doping incident.

How can that be if 'everybody' is doping?

Ralf Aldag  thinks it is exciting

http://www.velonews.com/article/95056

VN: Looking at the race after rolling out of the Pyrenees, who do you think is going to win?

RA: It?s not so hard to say that someone from

Astana is going to win. They do have four guys with the ability to win.

With the way Kl?den is riding and the fact that Levi hasn?t had to

anything so far, if someone tries to put pressure on them, they can

send any one of them. If they really wanted to attack, it would be

interesting to see who. If you ask me now, you have to say physically

Contador, psychologically Armstrong.

We are really are a very nice position here in Car No. 4, we have a

front-row seat to the big show. It?s really fun to see how they work it

out. Lance put big pressure on Contador in the crosswind, say, ?hey,

doing mistakes, you can?t win the Tour like that.? And then Contador in

Andorra, ?I did do a mistake, but I am always strong enough to correct

it and I am back in the game.? We haven?t had an exciting Tour like for

a long, long time.
