1) yes it can. My pina fork was forked. Had it redone and it looks spanking.

2) yes it can. They tape it up and bobs your uncle.. However the place that did my fork had a colnago for this process.

3) no ideas about Cape Town. Google will help. Keywords like electro plating Cape Town should give you something to work with.

3 questions.

1: Can a fork be rechromed without damaging it?

2: Is it possible to rechrome a chainstay and rear dropouts?

3: Who to go to for rechroming in Cape Town?

Place called Glitterama did my re-chrome work. Let Google be your friend. Jared from BMC use them a lot too. Took ages, but my work was perfect. Not sure about how well they do part-frames.

Poor error... The colnago I speak of didn't look so tidy when I saw it. BUT... That was their first attempt. He muttered something about tape and TAPE? my stays were in good enough condition. Thank the Pope.

Anyone know what brand of frame this is? Has a mix of Campagnolo, Shimano 600 and Dura Ace components. There doesn't appear to be any branding on the frame besides the Alan stickers... but this clearly isn't an Alan as they all had the seat stays stamped. Lugs look very similar though.

It certainly looks like an Alan. The rear dropouts and lugs look similar. I don't recall having seen an Alan with an inner top tube brake cable. The one's I have seen all have the cable going through two or three mounts situated on the top of the tube.

My Carbonio also has carbon chain stays whilst the example posted has an alu chain stay.

Is there any makings on the BB and or fork?
