Thanks HeartCoppi. It is been a nice project, really enjoying it. Have moved forward slightly, but still waiting for my BB to arrive. I am going to go with Velo's recommendation and put on some Veloflex Master pave tires on. I know it is not the aimbut surpringly enough, I should end up with a sub 10Kgs bike. probably around 9.8kg. Not bad for an old steel bike. ;)

Very keen to see this bike when its finished.

If you haven't purchased yet: the Continental Grand Prix is a 20mm and also looks good. The wall is a bit more "honey".

When you start posing bikes on glasses: you know you're bit !! :D

That's a good diagnosis of my growing condition. There is no denying and no cure for it !!:w00t:

True. But it is in good hands now. Interesting to see these prices on ebay, though most of them are Corsa Extra frames. Is there a big difference in value? I see that the cable on the Extra is routed through the frame. That's beautiful. Also both chain stays seem to be chromed instead of just the drive train side. The brackets on the top tube of my Corsa are partly rusted, not so nice.

Bliss: Corsa with my 2009 AXM.

The Extra may be worth just a bit more, but not by much. I have downloaded hundreds of photos of Corsa's and Corsa Extra's and there doesn't seem to be any consistency when it comes their design features. Both have examples of external/internal cable routing, flat crown/sloping crown forks, chromed/non chromed stays and forks. I reckon that frame features could be specced according to taste, regardless of the model you have. My 85 Corsa Extra has no chrome plating, a flat crown fork and internal cable routing.

Will have a look at those as well. I haven't bought the tires yet.. Thanks for the recommendation.

Does any one know what brake pads/blocks can be used with the Campag delta? My are rock hard and not too keen to ride with them..

Only Delta pads as far as I know. You can still find some on eBay. I also need to buy a set sometime.

Beautiful bikes. You could try Velo Orange for that BB. They will have what you are looking for. It will be a sealed bearing though.
