Spinnekop Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 So......the Pythons just look good on the MTB with the grey Sidewall. But at R540 a pop, that seems a bit extream. What do you guys and girls think????
Otherwise go for the scorpions.
I'm also getting new tyres, I went with Kenda Karma DCT's, got ok reviews, Titus and Golefty also think they are great. They are a bit light in the pants but I'll see if they are good enough.
Spinnekop Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Two posts. Two Mtb'ers. Two WAY different opinions............
Haga Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 A tyre you also need to look at if you want overall good grip, and very low rolling resistance is The Racig Ralph, Schwalbe tyre.Lately i have tried the Albert on th Front(fairly aggresive pattern) & the Smart Sam on the back. Has excellent grip for a little more aggresive down hill riding. But still low rolling resistance with the Smart Sam. These are both Schwalbe tyres. Good luck.D
Thug Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I got a Kenda Nevegal UST on the front and a TT UST on the back. Pretty happy with the choice.
Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Phyton Light UST "new generation" XC. You get the pythons in 3 diff. "models". Take the XC
Spinnekop Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Thanks Pops. Was wondering about that.....
I FLY Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I rode Larsen TT's from Aug 04 until Nov 06. Had no problems with grip (except in mud) or punctures. (Sabie x twice, Giant's Castle, Epic)Changed to vredenstein Killer Bees (tubeless) in Nov 06. They are light, super fast but offer surprising grip. The rubber is a bit soft and the back tyre is worn after 5 months. The next tyre I am going to try is the Kenda small block 8.
