I've been cycling in the Namaqualand for ages with slime only. I rode the tires until threadless and only once did slime not help me get home, and that was when glass cut a hole of 7mm. I have Stans now on the mamparra tubeless and its working equally well.

Never tried Slime so I can't say, but had tyre liners on my old bike and on my new one and touch wood (touching my head), not one puncture, so far

Slime is crap' date=' I used it once and got lots of flats. Since i started using OKO i have'nt had one single flat.[/quote']

Got OKO in my tubes and only problem I've had (twice) is the valve cores get stuck and cause a slow leak. This happened at MTB challenge (I had to change my tube) and at Gravity ~ used my Leatherman to pull the pin to stop the slow leak.

* The reason why they got stuck is I deflated them for both events

Solution, will hit the trails with spare valve cores and my DIY valve core remover.

But anyway, on Sunday I converted to slicks as I'm not going to do any offroad for the next 12 weeks (got UNISA exams coming up so no fun only commute). And as usual when I remove the core my tubes deflat halfway till the OKO seals it. I then need to puncture the membrane a few times to get my tubes deflated.

My Opion: OKO WORKS 100% - yet to fix a puncture

slime does seal after standing over night. on the trail there is a 50% chance it might work. keep the pressure low when u punture and try to keep the wheel turning. i sometimes pumped up to 3 times before it sealed. my rule was to patch after the 3rd pump. most times it worked and the puncture was sealed after the 2nd pump.

when patching do not pump too high a pressure as the slime is " pushed" out of the hole. the tube will also expand alot more out of the tire coursing old leaks to reappear

i was lucky to change to 2bliss and one turn of the wheel and it is sealed. loving 2bliss

Why do you want to keep the wheel turning? I would have thought that it is best to turn the wheel till the puncture is at the bottom and then let the slime do the work? Sorry if it is a stupid question....

Turn it to ensure that any other punctures you missed gets sealed aswell.

True .. we did leave the wheel for a minute or two with the puncture at the bottom ... but then got bored and started playing with the wheel Tongue

PS: the other day we also played with my wheel and my friend hold onto the quick release on both sides and spinned the wheel (it was just after we put in the slime ) to feel how "off-balance" it was .. and for some reason he let go on the one side ... to make a long story short .. the quick release 'cap' on the one side got lose, the wheel came off and almost killed me ... I was sitting on the couch and it came straight at my face ... luckely missing me with a few inches and almost braking my glass coffe table... but now my couch have a tire mark on it where the tire landed at first  LOL was nogals funny

Both Slime and OKO work on our tandem. Cannot really say as I have not had a flat wheel in ages.
