linton Posted September 17, 2009 Share For a while now i have noticed a wierd noise coming from my bike as i ride, I traced the noiseto the front wheel. If i lean the bike to the right the noise stops, lean it to the left and it comes back, seems consistent enough to say that it occurs when a specific portion of the wheel comes under a specific load (these specific points and loads are unknown to me at the moment :\ ) It's a metalic type clink. I found that mine was making a hell of a lot of noise. Wrapped it in one layer of insulation tape, and it stopped immediately. Try it, its a cheap quick fix that hopefully resolves the issue, if not, then pursue other options/problems. Maybe you are lucky. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My expert opinion: Your bearings are poked. Sorry, can you cough again? Get it checked out ASAP before the whole hub is damaged beyond repair. I speak from experience.
