My firefox that I've installed with Kubuntu 9.10 RC is working just finesmiley1.gif I can view any and all pages!

Konquerer is acting up a bit though... does not want to scroll the pages properly. It compresses everything into about a centimeter of screen space... Will do the update to the proper 9.10 release over the weekend

Your browser does not affect your internet speed. Yes, the actual software browser might load a tad quicker on your pc, but only Telkom can make anything go quicker after that.

what people also do not realise is that your Anti Virus also slows down your PC.

Ok, I battled last night and this morning to uninstall Firefox and nothing.

I searched for a solution and it was quite simple. I re-installed Firefox and it seems that for some reason the previous install had a problem. It seems to be working much better now.

I have the new AVG9 installed and it has not caused any problems. What I do is, disable the firewall & all other add-ons and test the speed. If it is still slow then it is not AVG.

So all those using Firefox, I suggest you re-install. I am still testing google Chrome, but for now it seems faster than Firefox. My .05cCaptain Slow2009-10-28 01:22:50

Antivirus just chows all your available resources, leaving no headroom for a self-respecting virus to operate in smiley36.gif
