Guest Agteros Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 My firefox that I've installed with Kubuntu 9.10 RC is working just fine I can view any and all pages! Konquerer is acting up a bit though... does not want to scroll the pages properly. It compresses everything into about a centimeter of screen space... Will do the update to the proper 9.10 release over the weekend

I almost uninstalled it and downloaded chrome. seems a bit better now! it's been working fine for the last year or so, only tonight ... if the cookies does this then the cookies are broken i'll switch to chrome, then .... problem is every time i swith to a differnt browser i have to request a new password - i have no clue what it is, that's what cookies are for.

Chrome does load quicker though

Captain Slow Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Ok, I battled last night and this morning to uninstall Firefox and nothing. I searched for a solution and it was quite simple. I re-installed Firefox and it seems that for some reason the previous install had a problem. It seems to be working much better now. I have the new AVG9 installed and it has not caused any problems. What I do is, disable the firewall & all other add-ons and test the speed.If it is still slow then it is not AVG. So all those using Firefox, I suggest you re-install. Chrome does load quicker though Antivirus just chows all your available resources, leaving no headroom for a self-respecting virus to operate in My R0.02
