Dunno how easily you can source Pearl Izumi clothing, but if you can I can recommend the Am-Fib winter gloves.

Used them for 3 UK winters and my digits have remained toasty in sub-zero temps. They're not bad in the rain/snow either Thumbs%20Up

thanx for the replys guys, but looking for a pair that i wouldn't have to take a 2nd bond for, I wont be using them that much as well, winters in SA are pretty short.

For intermediate temps: 5 deg C ? 15 deg C, I use SealSkinz Ultra Grip gloves (R390).

For anything colder, including sub-zero: SealSkinz MTB Glove (R480). Been using their skull cap and weatherproof socks too and think they're awesome. The socks keep your feet warm until about 3 deg C. Colder than that and I add shoe covers. They're good for MTB riding too, completely waterproof so no wet feet (and the fabric somehow breathes so your feet don't get damp from sweat when the sun starts to bake).

In Gauteng, I know Fritz Pienaar Cycles Paulshof and Tour de Frans stock SealSkinz.
