Bar Tape on a MTB?

Thinking about what I should do with my handle bars on my MTB - grips are finished!

Coz we MTB'ers is tough.

Works very well until it starts to unravel. I usually relegate my old road tape to the MTB.

Why not?

Mtb's do have bars.It's actually very comfortable.2 layers does the trick with thin tape.

Just needs replacing more often.

i've got on my rigid ss, that has drop bars. two layers for a softer ride.

I just cannot believe that bar tape can be more comfortable than a set of good quality grips.

Don't knock it till you have tried it.It might change your life

I cant stand most of the grips.Different shapes etc.And generally too thick

Got a pair of Oury on at the moment which are as simple and plain as you can get.Just dont like the stickyness

Bar tape is the answer. If it rips, just replace it... And it's super comfortable.

Very comfy,just be carefull ,some can be slippery when wet,even with gloves
