Ek's hier... Hier by die huisCry Henning and Barend are riding sometime now... Holding thumbs they have a good ride. I really wonder who will win it though. Hanco, or one of the three Exel boys? I hope Rabie does.

Ketterer, Shawn Botha and Avenant are no longer u16 (Juniors at least).  I would guess that in some cases school exams might take preference?

the only FSS medals are in girls cats, where the fields are smaller.  there are hardly any FSS riders anywhere anyway

Just a hunch but if the okes don't ride TT I doubt they'll do the Road race, just because the road race is harder.  Just my 2c.

Will u be riding tho?  I've heard that after the first few laps the guys who aren't in the running drop out, so sometimes only a handful finish.  is this true?

Lots of guys don't do the TT, but do the road race - That is why there are a lot more entries for road races in each category than for time trials. I myself was entered for the road race but not the TT. Lots of the pro's don't TT either - It's pointless doing the TT if you're not a bit of a TT specialist. And the road race isn't necessarily harder either.

must be a triathlete mentality then, from my side.  Last year I rode TT (badly I may add), and didn't do the road race - didn;t feel nearly fit enough for the distance.

this year (when I still thought i would be riding) was not even considering going over Albrecht 14 times, or whatever it is.  To me 30km on the road is tough enough against the best in SA.

Anyone know if Raynard is coming this year.  To me he represents SA's best timetrialist, but again, probably a triathlete mentality.

Yip, sunblock this is indeed true. I think there are normally on average about 15 riders finishing in the Elite cat, I think the attrition rate is minimum 70%.
