I'd like to see the outfit, and shake your hand.  I'll be having a flat tomorrow at 09h35 corner of Jan Smuts and westcliff drive, or is there somewhere else that will suit you better, Wolverine?LOL

Well done and thanks from us other cyclists!Clap

It amazes me how as human nature, the thought always first reverts to negative. This is probably everyone's initial response when reading the thread heading, anyhow nice surprise, it goes to show you, there are still good genuine peeps cruising the hood on roadie bonnies.

You're welcome Rike01' date=' get someone to check your tube, I used a glueless patch and while they are good for emergencies, dunno how well they work long term.

Btw, welcome to the hub[/quote']

They're not too bad, but the glue seems to not like heat or Stans. I fixed a pinch-flat on my Trials bike the other day, and the combination of leaving the car (with bike) in the sun, and the Stans in the tube made the one patch come off.

Was riding at Majik Forest and had problems with my bike's front valve,it was stuck so I could not deflate it and busy going downhill with hard front tyre and had severe problems with the rear derailer and changing gears. The result was that I had a plunge, not hurt, when a rider was coming uphill and stopped and helped me.He got off his bike, ask me to hold his bike, while he reset the gears, adjust the derailer, check out the front shock, took my bike for a spin and brought it back, and everything was sorted out.I never ask his name, but he have a black scott carbon mtb with dt swiss carbon  shocks, integrated seatpost,.I think it is a Scott Genuis, bike weighs about 8 kg.Was dressed in black.I could not believe that one still get people that really goes out of their way to help others.I learned something from him that day.

Lots of nice roadies out there. I fell down and dislocated my shoulder on 10th October in Muldersdrift and some guys helped me. made a sling out of my tube to keep the sholuder steady and asked a guy with a bakkie to give me a lift back to Lion and Rhino Park where i had left my car.

Well done Wolfy....................keep up the good name of roadies!!Clap

Put the pic up of that kit, sounds a sight to see.LOL

Thought when I saw the thread heading this was going to be a negative post

Exactly what I thought... what a pleasant surprise amidst all the negativity towards cyclists at the moment. Good work, Wolfey.
