My latest order has been held up at CapeMail because "they cannot find the invoice". I don't get that as CRC always put that on the box. Annoying!

that's EXACTLY the bullsh*t story i got from capemail as well. I dont know wtf their story is, but it stinks, cos when I got the package, the full invoice, as per CRC's normal predictably good service, was fully visible to all and sundry.

Something is wrong with this picture. If more peeps complain, i think I'm going to take it up with them and ask them wtf the problem is. I'm pissed off cos i had to drive like a nutter from work to ge there, and considering they close at 16h30, it's a sumbitch of note to get there thru traffic.

Reply from CRC: send the customs invoice to them and they will refund the excess duty and VAT paid! Few days later the refund showed on my credit card account!Well done CRC!!

i made an order 3 weeks ago and it's not here yet :(

 

I had an order that just didn't arrive and then I received a wonderful letter from SARS (customs) in the post saying that they had detained my parcel. After calling them they said they randomly detain parcels over R500 and I had to get it formally cleared via a clearance agent.

Dealt with the clearance agent today and the costs of getting the parcel now include their fee and I'm paying about double what normal VAT etc would have been. Seriously bummed.

 

Shipping with UPS would be better in this case because they will do the clearance as part of the process.

I received the wrong item, i emailed them and they were willing to give me back 50% of ordered items value and they would pay shipping for replacement item, now I emailed them with the replacement item i wanted and i have been emailing them repeatedly and no reply and it has now been a week. Hows that for service, and there is nothing I can really do but email.

CRC are awesome.  SA Poeskantoor is the hold up.  I keep an eye on the progress of the packages and then when they have landed, I try and get a SA tracking number so that I can arrange delivery.  (I am out of the country 4 days a week so I can only take delivery on a Friday.)  The problem is that the Poeskantoor often just do not answer their phones.

 

I have bought 4 bikes from CRC in 2009 and loads of kit, parts, bling etc.  They are def my Preferred BS.  Looking at bringing in number 5.
